Lafayette Leadership Education Committee (LLEC)
The Lafayette Leadership Education Committee is comprised of select students, administrators, and faculty who meet biweekly to plan student leadership educational opportunities each year. A mission statement, created by the committee and other student affairs professionals, guides their work.
Lafayette's Leadership Institute (LLI)
The Lafayette Leadership Institute in February each year is an award-winning, one-day conference that educates student leaders through featured speakers, workshops, and a distinguished alumni panel. Attendees will come away viewing leadership as learn-able set of behaviors.
Educational Sessions & Outreach
A series of monthly meetings (for educators) and educational sessions (for students) are scheduled to help build a foundation for conversation and leadership competency development.
Leadership Awards & Recognition
Each May the Division of Campus Life presents the annual Aaron O. Hoff Awards program to honor select students, student organizations, and employees for their contributions and performance.
Leadership Education Approach
Our strategic approach to leadership education is grounded in leadership theory and established research involving undergraduate leadership development, leadership identity development, and student learning. To be comprehensive the methodology is to be fundamental, developmental, and experiential.
Leadership Education Internship(s)
We are accepting applications for this experience through September 20th! This is an exciting opportunity to influence our evolution and explore your own leadership capacity.
Two student interns, who are also members of the larger LLEC, are the primary forces behind the logistical preparations needed to implement the Leadership Institute annually.
